Ok, I read bob's post about decifering the date/hull number codes but on my paper work (Title to boat) My boat is a '73 but in the code it says it was manufactered in august of '74, does that sound wrong? Anyone have any guesses here? The entire code reads ERY25111M74A ...

code M74A means August '73 production

See the explanation at this link about the "Model Year format" in paragraph 9. It sez that this code means your hull was started in August '73.
