We moved Fairwinds to the Marina here in Ft. Myers and have been cleaning years of small overlooked areas and accumulated mildew and stuff. After a month onboard, I'm getting to the next projects solving some small leaks and refinishing exerior brightwork. In rebedding some small bits on deck, I've come to the two round decklights forward on the foredeck. I'd like to remove them and clean and polish the bronze parts and lenses, but could use some advice on the caulk. 5200 might be more permanent than I want but they've lasted 35 yrs. so far. Maybe permanent is what they should be. Also, Fairwinds came with a fitting between the decklights and a never used bronze Dorade that I believe to be from the Oday factory. The opening empties directly into the forepeak and has no dorade box, baffles or anything. How do they use that?
