Equipment Compatibility

I recently purchased a 1981 Beneteau First 35. It has five guages mounted over the hatch. None of them work. I intend to replace them with ST-60 units but would like to bypass the transducers if possible. I don't know how to test the existing units or know if they are even compatible. Obviously, I would like to not need new transducers if that would work. I am also concerned that if I don't put in new transducers, the old ones may quit and it will cost much more to purchase them later.Is there a way to test my current equipment?Are the ST-60 units compatible to other units?Do you have any suggestions on a complete refitting ofelectronics?

Replace Them

I would replace the transducers. I don't have a lot of information on other manufacturers transducer specifications. It would be up to you to find this information and we could then tell you if ours were compatible. There is a slight chance they might cross over, but the transducers do have a life cycle and will eventually fail. The ST60 transducers use a 2 inch hull hole size. Let me know if you have any questions regarding Raymarine's transducers or their installation.
