Starboard cockpit locker. Plastic twin-channel track holds the foot of the boards and a stretch cord with hook keeps them in place.

Good question. The crew needs to know where it is. We have a diagram of the boat posted in several locations (one stares you in the face while sitting on the head), that diagram (copy and pasted from Beneteau's on-line digital owners manual) has been modified to show the location of all boat thru-hull valves and sensors (depth/speed), fire extinguishers, and the emergency tiller. When you need to know where these things are located it would be preferable that a crew member doesn't have to track down the skipper to get the answer. Things get a little hectic when emergencies occur. On anything but a daysail all crew members get a briefing and are asked to study the diagrams.

We store ours on the top of the sliding hatch. Bottom board first then top board with lock up. Place a towel etc. on top so as not to scratch the underside of your dodger window. I placed four little plastic glides on both boards to keep them from scratching each other and make it easier to lift. This also keeps them from sliding. We also, when at anchor or dock and want to keep bugs out, air in, will tuck the towel under the front edge of the boards and drape it back over the open companionway.
