Has anyone out there used bio-diesel in their engine?
I have a Universal 3 cylinder in my 310, and have just started using a 5% mixture of bio-diesel with the regular petro-diesel. I would appreciate any comments.

Has anyone out there used bio-diesel in their engine?

I have run my M-25XPB engine for 7 hours using a mixture of 10% bio-diesel to petro-diesel. I can report NO adverse effects.
I did notice two beneficial results:
1- The engine is running considerably smoother.
2- I was able to reduce the idle speed to 950 rpm from the original 1100.

I looks to me that using some percentage of bio-diesel is helping the engine perform better. My son has been using 10% bio-diesel in his car for a year, which convinced me to try it on my Catalina 310. The next step is to increase the percentage to 15%.

Has anyone had experience with using bio-diesel?
