I had the head off for a overhaul last fall. They cleaned out the
water passages in the head and the exhaust manifold. I also cleaned
out all the waterlines/fittings and rodded out the passages in the
block. Some of the fittings were closed by as much as a half. Also I
increased the hose sizes from the thruhull to 3/4".The engine now runs
much cooler and I get twice the water flow out the exhaust.

Hey folks!

I am 4.5 hours away from my boat currently and am planning t get down there next week to start getting her ready to drop her in. I want to order new vinyl lettering for the stern, but have no idea how big I should go with the lettering? How wide is the transom, and how deep does it measure? Anyone know or close enough to their vessel to stretch a tape measure accross? Thanks!

Hey Chris,

Just came back from measuring the transom on my Vega. Width is 61
inches, depth is 29 inches. The widest spot is about 2/3 of the way
down from the top. Hope this helps. Are you changing the name or
just repainting? Later.

Hi Larry!

Hey, thanks so much for the dimensions, you have no idea how much time you have saved me!!!

We have gone back and forth about names and thought we had it, and then went back and forth some more, but we have finally arrived at a name that we are both happy with, so...yes...this will be a name change.

I needed the dimensions to figure out how big I could make the lettering...or small for that matter. I was thinking about 8" letters???

Thanks again Larry, you have been a tremendous help!!
