I need to replace the engine stop cable on my '84 C27. I ordered and received a new one from CatalinaDirect. I do not like the one I received - it is not the "button" type but rather a red "t" shaped handle that protrudes out further than the protective weather shield. I see this as a tripping harard and a pants ripper! The cable is different too - the original is "twisted" strand type cable & more flexible while the new one I received is more rigid & the cable is not "twisted". CatalinaDirect said this is the one they sell now for replacement. Also, how do you make the final adjustments at the engine end. Any suggestions?? Should I call Catalina (the manufacturer) and speak with the part dept. Thanks!
