I have a thread going over on the MoyerMarine Forum - am posting here to tell Neil about what all I've done to my c30 since last Spring. My ID over there is 'Persistence'. I already posted the engine related upgrades and problems on MM so will go on to the boat parts.

New Mains'l, Fresh Topside primer and paint from WM (primer filled in all those little hairline cracks nicely) Changed deck non-skid color from 70's green to pale gray - looks much better, new main halyard (this part involved a 40' ladder and was pretty exciting), PO had re-upholstered interior cushions with a nice velour type cloth - looks nice, lots of little parts like blocks, shackles etc, cockpit cushions, and thats about it - not a lot really for a boat I've used 2x/wk all summer. I pulled it out recently to paint the hull (PO had fixed some spots with gray bondo that sort of stands out) and do bottom job and try to fix whatever is going on with the drivetrain/engine. I was amazed the bottom was in as good shape as it was. It's been in the water for 7 yrs straight with no bottom maintenance. The pix below show the difference a power washing made.

I also need to take the jib down and get some seams repaired and see if Kerr can somehow take out some of the 'blown out' shape. If not, I'll probably buy a new jib. I got a Spinnnaker at a garage sale (of all places) the other day so I now need to re-configure the mast head for a spinnaker halyard, add the hardware needed for a spinnaker pole etc etc. The bimini also had a couple of places that need repair. Looks like a busy winter/repair season.

Lookin' good Dave..those pics are a lot larger than the little tiny avatar over at the MM forum. :)

Painting the hull & deck is on my list of things to do.

While you are doing all of this rigging work, be sure to check the condition of the main bulkheads & chainplates. The teak plywood was failing in mine and the bolt holes were elongated..I ended up building 'jock straps' into the boat (like the racers do) that tie back into the thick solid glass where the bottom of the bulkheads are mounted (mine had pulled out.)
My boat was a wreck when I got it, but I also was surprised in the condition of the bottom (no blisters) & 30 years worth of paint build up.

Keep posting progress pictures! :)
