I pulled the engine panel from my Hunter 28.5 because it was cracked around the engine stop. The engine stop cable was also broken probably from being kicked. Anyway, I am making a plexiglass cover to protect everything but I need a new panel and stop cable. Does anyone have a Yanmar part number for the panel and the stop cable? I've looked around and although I found a diagram of the panel I need I can't find a part number. The engine on board is a Yanmar 20GM20F. Thanks!

Yanmar "B" panel

Bob, That is called a "B" panel. The bezel is available for around $25.00 at most dealers. I don't have the part # handy. Pat McCartin Inland Marine Diesel Buford, GA imd_ga@hotmail.com

Ken, Bob just needs the bezel, not the whole thing

Pat that's a good price. I had no idea the bezel was available separately. But then too, it's not a Porsche! :( I'll call for one this week and report back. My old one is getting pretty weak. You know, what broke mine in the first place was the shut-off cable. For the last ten years we've used the push button solenoid and the panel is under NO strain.

Thanks I got the number

I found the number in the archives on this site. For a Yanmar "B" type panel it's 128170-91010. I think I'm going to try and reenforce the area around the stop cable pull so there be less of a chance of cracking the panel again.

Yanmar Panel Bezel

Fred, Try Gallery Marine in the U District on the waterway... I replaced the "B" panel bezel on my 1980 30' (2GM20F) for the same reason last summer. The cable is pricey ($100) but the panel was about $25. They are are a Yanmar parts dealer and were very helpful in getting the parts etc.
