When shutting down my MD25 diesel engine, after pulling the kill switch the engine oil buzzer continues to sound even after turning off the ignition and removing the key. Only way I have found to stop the buzz is to turn batteries to off. Any suggestions as to how to remedy this would be appreciated...

Buzzer

Sounds like the power for the low oil pressure switch is coming directly from the battery/battery switch. Trace the leads from the switch and make sure one lead goes to the ignition switch. On my C-30 w/M25XP (according to a Westerbeke schematic that came with the engine) the power goes from the key switch to one side of the oil pressure switch (red/white) and also to the alternator and then to the buzzer (one circuit). And from the other side of the switch to the lift pump. If you're not yet a member, I would suggest looking into the Catalina 30 Owners Assn. Great information source. www.catalina30.com Mike I.

Do the harness upgrade too!

As a suggestion: Tell Seaward you want the harness upgrade kit for $55. It replaces the ampmeter with a voltmeter. Also do the glowplug project thru the link below. Works great! push the glowplug for 5-10 sec and start!
