Hi everybody !!

I own a 43 1995, and over a year we replace the cooler and I didn´t care about the "data plate".
I asked Yanmar and they tell me to ask Hunter and try to associate the Hull number with the motor.
Is there any way to do that ?

Is the data plate for the transmission still there? Knowing the transmission will help narrow the choices.

Identify Your Yanmar Engine

the previous owner changed the cooler and there was the plate.. they said that they leave it in the captain´s table, but it´s not.

I have been working under the assumption that is the 4JH2E which is stated in the survey. Just that I don´t have the plate.

Does the raw water pump face aft with the cover plate facing the starter? I have a 3JH2E which is the three cylinder version of the JH2 series. You can find the shop and user manuals online and download them for free. The images in the manual could be used to confirm the model. Here's what a 3JH2E looks like from the front.

Just out of the idlest of curiosity, what does the light indicate ?
Enquiring minds and all that stuff .............................

The light is an engine room light that shines right in your eyes. A great idea, a poor implementation. The switch is an alternator service disconnect. In the off position the alternator can be removed without disconnecting the batteries or risk of sparking alternator cables.

Have the same problem with lighting except when it's not shining in my eyes it's shining at my back and creates a big black shadow where I'm working. The engine sits inside a Nike shoe box and no matter where you put the light grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !
