coolant leak drip from bottom of engine port side
That may be where it drips from but it's not likely the origin of the leak. Wrap every AF hose joint on the port side with toilet paper and tape. Run the engine and see if one joint above all others reveals itself.

Could leak be from the weep hole under the FCW Pump? Position a mirror under pump to see. That's where mine was leaking from. I tried repairing the pump but gave up and replaced with new.

There is a block drain valve close to the oil filter, it usually has a short drain hose on it .. There are "freeze plugs" on the port side below the intake manifold.., and as previously mentioned, coolant hose and fresh water pump that may be leaking.. Happy hunting!

I used to loose AF on my 2GM20F…I was really beginning to think it was a head gasket, since I could not find the leak.

I found every hose clamp on the engine and tightened them (yes, several were loose). The filler neck on my HX is held on with 2 screws. It seemed like it had a build up of crud around it…I removed it and used a liquid gasket to create a new seal and remounted the filler neck. I replaced the HX cap with a new one, and I added AF to the appropriate level in the overflow tank. I checked the coolant lines to the WH…no leaks found.

And I haven’t had to add AF since. And I still don’t really know where it was leaking.

I am going to get a small mirror and try to see the back of the engine. That seems to be where the leak is coming from. It is a slow steady drip about every 6 to 8 seconds. Can't see any coolant in exchanger with cap removed and over flow tank gets empty. Thanks for all your suggestions.

There are a couple of drain valves (small plastic valves) that could be leaking or dripping. I know they’re 2 on the STB side of the engine. One is definitely near the aft end of the engine. Not sure if there are any on the PORT side or not. My engine manual is on the boat.

This is a 3GM engine diagram, but it might help you ID where the drain valves are…
