Folks: I recently acquired a 1993 Hunter 23.5 that I am basing in Southport, NC... However, it came with an Evenrude 6HP 2 stroke engine that seems VERY underpowered. I would like to get a larger 4 stroke engine, but I'm a bit lost as to how big I can go, how much weight would be appropriate (given that the engine is on the Starboard side of the stern) and what others have found as an effective amount of power for near shore Atlantic sailing. Any advice would be appreciated. CB
