The engine instruments fog up, after the boat has been running for a few minutes. Also, every so often when I am starting the engine, the beeper does not always work, when the key is on. It only makes a clicking sound about once/second. All connections seem to be solid. Are the two related ?? Ron

Ron, I'd guess that you have some condensation or moisture in your instruments. It's not uncommon, especially if your instruments are exposed to rain. I make sure I have my instrument back lights on at all times. The heat from the bulb will help to dissipate any moisture & keep the gauges clear. Moisture can interfere with the electrical connection to your warning alarm as well as the alarm's "speaker". If you don't run your engine enough to clear the guages, try blowing a hair dryer for a few minutes on the back of the guages. This should clear it up, too. Thanks Allen. Another friend has suggested that I drill a small hole in the bottom of the unit, allowing for moisture to escape. The guages that are fogging up are the engine temp.,fuel, and charging amps. Ron
