I thought I was reading in my engine owners manual that the idle RPM's ought to be approx 1000, ours idles lower than that, around 800, which causes a rough idle. Did someone post about how to raise the idle?
Our boat is being pulled for the winter  this weekend so we wont get to sail after Friday (tomorrow) until about MARCH 30th or so..:cry: But might like to get this done now or first thing in the spring.. if necessary.

Your engine manual should show you how to do that. It's a simple screw on the top starboard side of the engine. If you don't have the manual, go to www.marinedieseldirect.com and find the parts blowup that shows the idle stop screw.
