I just recieved an new engine pod to move my guages from down by the floor up to the sea tback on my 1982 Catalina 30 , anybody do this conversion and have pictures so I can see how the pod mounts and cover goes on

Thanks Stu ..Really helps , my only question now is my new pod has a 3/8in lip that goes across the top and down both side about 3/4 way down , does not seem like enough meat would be on a new cover to drill for screws , should it maybe be hinged?
Hinging sounds complicated. If you have a photo it would really help to answer the question, 'cuz I can't see it from here.

Ya Stu It was great I understand the plexiglass with the guages is inset into the pod but what about the cover, on one of the previous pictures it shows what is left of what my old pod looked like and you can see two hinges at the top
My panel is home made rather than manufactured but here is how I solved two of the questions posed in this thread.
Rather than screw through the flange to mount the panel I grafted clamps from an electrical Carlon device box to the backside. Tightening the screws draws the clamps up against the coaming and compresses a flange gasket. No caulking used, easy to remove, easy to install.
For the Plexi cover I used two polished aluminum channels, the top one deeper than the bottom like our galley slider tracks. To remove I lift the cover up into the top track as far as it will go, pull the bottom free of the lower track and remove downward. Works great.
