This is my first season with this boat. I notice that the transom is getting dirty with exhaust from the 14 hp Universal diesel engine. Is this anything to worry about or should I just clean it once in awhile?
I have an 84 C27 with the Universal Diesel. I get some exhaust stains on the transom, too. the problem arises because the transom squats down into the water, allowing the diesel exhaust to bubble up and stick to the transom. After each use I reach over with a small brush and clean the transom with soapy water. It only takes a couple of minutes to soak, wash, and rinse the transom. Randy
