I recently purchased an Islander 28' and the previous owner said he had a mechanic work on the engine. He didn't know how to access the engine a Volvo 10hp? Not sure. It looks to be in good shape however I'm not sure how to access the engine compartment. Anybody have any ideas?

usually it is under the companion ladder

just start lifting the junk out of the way until you find an engine. my Volvo engine was green when I bought it.;-) If the previous owner didn't know how to access it then how did he check the oil?:-(

Come on now!

Jack, You just gotta be able to get at the engine fella. Lift the top step, undo those sliders on the inside and pull off the front. Do it now. Wayne
