Engine compartment insulation question

I need to replace the insulation in my engine compartment. I checked the archives and found several suggestions. Because the enclosure is an irregular fiberglass surface it seems my options are reduced to an adhesive attached material.
The Sailor Solutions 1 ft sq material looks good but am concerned it would stick to the irregular surface. The SO material looks good but again not sure just the stickey back material will hold. Defender has a product that you use spray adhesive to apply and that looks lilke it might work. Mc Master Carr has a similar product that would apply with adhesive.
So my question is with a fiberglass engine cover that needs a product that will adhere to it, what have you guys used?

I used a foam-lead sandwich (Soundown) with 3M Adhesive spray many years ago. But to adhere to a surface from which the material must hang I used some self-adhesive pins that punctured the lead-foam and then had a cap that pushed on the pin. Those worked excellent. I did the insulation replacement about one year ago. I used the material from SO, with the self adhesive on the back. It is still perfectly in place. I thought to use some pins to secure the upper portion. But when I installed the material, I felt there is no need for the pins.

An Update: SO no longer sells the insulation. I purchased insulation from Defender. I had to spray glue on the surface then the foam insulation adheres to it. I then applied their tape to seal all the joints. I used 1 1/2" insulation. The finished job looks good but I am not pleased with it as the material is similar to the original product I removed. I will see how long it lasts.
I liked the Sailor Solutions 1 ft square product and sent them a note asking about it adhering to an irregular surface. They never got back to me.
