I am looking for a most affordable option for diesel install for cruising in our vega. Volvo engine is out. combi prop and shaft still there. I do not know if it is still operable. How do you test it for wear and upgrades? Boat is on trailer. I asked about options for diesels before. Option of 2 cylinder 16 hp m 20 kubota universal, used with transmission, or this other option made available to us recently, a dv 10 bukh without transmission that runs going in , set up with existing combi shaft and prop that was set up for original VOlvo. I know engine is heavy , 350 lbs, though is a solid runner, with hand crank. ANy Vegas have such a BUkh 10 installed? Can they hook up to the combi shaft like the old volvo? Is it a viable option vs the 16 hp kubota universal m 20 ? Thanks for your opinions and veteran ecperience. THanks
