Ok, here’s my problem… the boat won’t go !!! I have a H260 with a Honda 9.9 hp engine which for the last 5 or 6 years has worked perfectly. The boat moves when the engine is at an idle… and the motor easy pushes the boat at hull speed. The engine seems fine. You can see the cavitation from the screw as you increase the speed of the engine, but the speed of the boat does not increase? The max boat speed I can get is maybe 1 or 2 knots… I mean slow… whether the engine is runs slow or fast. Seems like I’m dragging an anchor, but I’m not. I’ve looked and can find nothing array. The propeller is fine, with no damage and the engine sounds normal. Forward, reverse makes no difference. The keel can be up or down, no difference. Any idea’s?
