Ah progress! I have been informed by my Catalina dealer that the factory is no longer making a tall rig option available for the C36MKII. Any thoughts on whether this is a tragedy or not? The dealer didn't know why they discontinued it saying, "they just tell us what they're doing, not always why" I was aboard the latest C36MKII at the Seattle "Boats Afloat" show and there have been some improvments. Much of the hardware has been upgraded along the lines of the C350 (blocks, track cars), the upholstery has been upgraded from that awful velour and there are now full coil spring mattresses in both cabins although "legroom" in the aft berth is now only about 12" so no sex in there I guess. An outboard mounting block has been added to the stern rail ala C350 also. It's still my fav and still the best 36 footer around.
