Hi,

Solitude for only 5 days in a row and I have to say, yes I kept on hearing conversation and in different languages I have never heard before.

The good news is that it disapeared as soon as I got off.

I think you are normal, though I may not be :) I have seen things,
peple and animals. I heard the people and animals and I talked to them.
Solitude and weariness can cause these things. Years ago I learned to
accept them and not even get excited about them.. I am not sure that
attitude doesn't increase the number of those things though. I after a
couple of bad bouts with apparitions decided to resist as much as I
could and that seemed to help some. I suspect after long periods of
solitude, if your mind does net get active there may be something wrong
with it. Doug

I think its more sleep deprivation than anything else, but its very odd to be somewhere isolated and to here what sounds like people talking... and not being able to place where its coming from. but the strangest is the things that you think you glimpse outta the corner of your eye, and then you stand there for several minutes trying to see it again, and wondering all the while if it was ever really there at all.

But Tahiti is nice, and the women here, in general, are the prettiest ive ever seen. Now i understand the Mutiny on the Bounty thing a lot better. Imagine leaving dreary england, that awful boat ride over with all of the guys and then landing here in the tropics and seeing all of these Hotties with the bikinis & all that dark cinamon colored skin, that long black hair, and those pretty white teeth This is paradise! hope you all get a chance to see it for yourselves.

Joshua Slocum, I think mentioned this phenomenon in his book about solo circumnavigation. You're not losing your marbles.

Sailing overnight the rudder wake whispers to me.
I can't quite make it out but it sure sounds like muttering of human voices.

I think in my case that they are phantom noises, that don't acctually exist outside of my head. prolonged silence is odd.

OH! Well now that is something else again. It is surly not the sound
of wavelets or rivulets but must be the human sounds of a gentle
whisper. These are the sounds heard by those who venture off in boats
alone. They are real! They are the voices of the guidance that attends
and guides your vessle. They come to you in the middle of the night
and early dawn. They are no different than the guiding voice of your
compass. They are no different than the tiny little waves pushed but the
gentlest of breezes that is the for runner of wind. Saying reef! To you
they may come roaring as crashing seas, seaming as though pushed before
the gale. It is only the silence that distorts them into booming voices.
Even the tiniest wavelets have a human voice. These are the whispers
that guide your vessel. This be whispers of the sea, these! Fear only
those siren songs that come from the not so distant shore. They alone
come to draw you into the rocky coast. The sounds of sea and boat are
those of safety as you are among friends. It is the sound of hard land
you should fear By God. Doug

HA! And I wondered who Emma Gail was... how funny is that! You are not loosing your mind!!! I totally relate and honestly... words can't explain Lance! Its all about experiences and your purpose! I feel you on a level that is unreal and someday wish to share my (our) thoughts and stories... I really don't even care to try to explain because this is explained through energy, light, and some type of natural connection! Trips me out! My mind does play tricks on me, and I definitely know about the silent storms! Know I am with you at heart.. I'm just on the oppisite end of the spectrum and on dry land! I really don't know why I feel some type of balance from you in a weird way, but I do! Maybe its because your you :) One of a kind and interesting! I really relate on a scientific level! Sounds crazy but.... Life!!!! A long strange trip! Glad to have you as a friend :) Take care bud

How can you not appreciate mother nature and all it has to offer!!! I think thats impossible! See the beauty that is surrounded by the king of clouds. All things tells of something... You just have to know how to listen and choose how you, personally, care to percieve it! A lot of times I can't believe what I see and hear or what I hear and see... but I do trust in intuition from the inner source! Rocking the earth can mean many things! As long as there is something called balance, you can rock it any way your soul may choose!
