Al, We recently had occcasion, due to another boat cutting our anchor line, to replace our rudder. We have a 1998 H376. The replacement rudder is not hollowed out, like the original, which enables the emergency tiller to be inserted into the center of the shaft. Your firm may have made the replacemant rudder. I am not sure what to do about this. Mike DiMario s/v Serenity H376 Tochester, Md

What is it full of?

Mike: What is the rudder post full of? Is like foam or epoxy material? If it is you may be able to use a rotary type tool or a drill to cut away the material to a depth so that your emergency tiller would work.

Sorry

Mike, I'm sorry we did not make your rudder. Give Hunter a call. I'm sure they will have an answer for you. Steve is probably right but I would check it out. Al Walker Foss Foam
