emergency tiller for O'Day 32
I have a 32 center cockpit. It came with an emergency tiller. The tiller is nothing else but a pipe (with two slots to clear the bolt that holds the quadrant to the post) which slides into the top of the rudder post. Welded to that pipe is a 3ft piece of pipe for a tiller. You have to stay in the aft cabin to steer. I am thinking of modifying it so that the vertical pipe extends through the cabin roof with a longer tiller. This would require a hole with a cover in the aft cabin roof. Hope this helps, John
