Emergency O

I am supposed to go pick up my O'Day 20 today and the trailer we have requires that the bottom of the boat be completely flat. Since I have never trailered an O"Day before, I don't know if the centerboard retracts completely and the bottom is flat. Can someone let me know ASAP???

O'Day 20

The O'Day 20 doesn't have a flat bottom, There is a mini keel that the centerboard retracts into. Without looking at my 20, the keel is about 4 ft long, 1 foot wide and about 10 inches deep. My trailer has 2 - 8 ft bunk boards the boat sits on, plus a centering set of bunks to keep the boat straight when I retreive the boat from the water. Hope that helps

you may have to go to the local trailer supply and get longer bunk supports and change yours to fit your new boat. let keel set on the 'bottom supports and raise the side bunks up with the new supports...
