I am getting around to replacing the holding tank on my h40.5. No leak yet, but from what I read, its only a matter of time. Planning on using the Triple M product, which seems to have positive reviews on forums.

I am considering asking Triple M to add the necessary hole to the tank top, to allow the fitting of an Electrosense tank monitor. Does anyone have any experience of this particular monitor? I like the look of it from the video on their website, but have no direct experience with them.

I have no experience with this monitor but wanted only to suggest that you consider weighing whatever comments you do receive from other folks based upon the shape of the tank with which they have experience. The 40.5 tank, which you may already know, is very wide and very shallow which can play havoc with consistent readings.

I've just spent quite a bit of time their website...and while they're proud to tell you all about their wonderful electronic sensing and remote monitoring equipment for domestic, scientific and commercial applications, I don't see any mention of marine and/or RV waste, water or fuel systems. Plus, the company is in Australia, which could be a good thing, except they don't seem to have distribution or support anywhere else.

So while I support your choice of Triple M Plastics as a custom tank supplier, I suggest you check out these tank level monitors which don't require any holes in the tank at all.

Peggie, thanks for the suggestion to look at Profile tank monitors. I will check it out thoroughly; the Solo looks like a good option for me.

The electrosense company I looked says they are in Sparks MD, USA, which is close to me. Apologies.... I should have given their website. Here it is..

Peggie hooked us up with a Profile when I did our tank, and I'm happy with it. I was glad to have one less hole in the tank, it is way easy to install, and the system works fine. Best part is the customer service is superb. Don is right in that the shape of the tank throws off the meter. It takes a long time to hit the first half, but the second half goes quicker. Kind of backwards as the bottom of the tank is the small half. Best I can figure is the system measures the empty portion and extrapolates backward to show how much is full. But it does give plenty of warning for when the tank is fillied up.

Thanks for the advice windward54 and Peggie. I will go with the Profile Tank Monitor.
