On the orginal panel, there are six circuts, but only two circuts are being used, 1 for cabin lights (3) and the other for running/masthead lights. I found a extra wire (black) that looks like it was never used. Would the factory have been kind enough to leave and extra wire for future use? Also, I would like to have an anchor light and replace the two main cabin lights with something more illuminating.

Don't cut the black wire!

Hi Jack (must be lots of laughs at airports! sorry!), The related link is an electrical diagram for an O'Day 25. Some things may look familiar. They mention a single spare black wire for ground (black wires are negative "-" on this diagram) when connecting accessories. Positive "+" wires are listed as white or red. I only hope this doesn't add to your confusion. (I can't get the *&$% link to attach so I'll just list it below.) http://home.att.net/~oday/25ed.jpg Happy sails, MArk

Hi Mark, I'm interested in the O'Day wiring diagram you mentioned but I was unable to pull up that address. Any suggestions?

No Tildes Allowed

Hi Morgan, I tried to attach the link to: http://home.att.net/~oday/25ed.jpg again but for some reason the related link processor on this site doesn't like tildes (~). The link should bring up a JPG picture file (140KB). Try to highlight the address below and copy it (Ctrl C if PC) and paste it (Ctrl V if PC) into the web browser address location. I am using MS Internet Explorer and this works OK for me. http://home.att.net/~oday/25ed.jpg Let me know if you still can't get it. I tried reducing it so I could attach as a picture but it loses too much information. I can e-mail it to you as a last resort. Happy sails, MArk
