Electrical System Wire Numbers

I am in the process of rewiring the electrical system in my Vega
along with the new engine refit/installation. Many of the wires
have number tags behind the circuit breaker panel but are not
connected to anything. Others do not have numbers at all. Does
anyone have a code/listing for these numbers. Also is it possible
to determine which wire is the central grounding wire?

Above all, as you rewire your Vega, be sure to use marine wire! ! ! It is
tin plated. If you don't, things will work perfectly for a year or two, then all
kinds of goofy problems will start! This is because corrosion will start to
interfere with your connections. Please, do not take the easy way out and
ignore the extra expense of using the correct type and size of wire.
