I have 1992 28ft Catalina, just purchased this boat. What I am wondering on the A/C side of the panel there are three items:
1. Outlets
2. Water heater
3. Batt chrg
The outlet and water heater button can be pushed in almost like a switch, but in pushing in these buttons nothing happens. I do not want the water heater on all the time. Can I replace these two buttons so they do act like a switch and may be light up when they are on.
Thanks

The basic answer is yes, you can replace them. But I'm not sure about when you say "nothing happens" when you push them in. Do you mean the water heater and outlets don't work?

If they are like my 310, they're not switches, they're breakers. If everything works and you can't push them, all is well!!

Seaward made your panel, and they can provide replacements, or just find a good electrical supply place, brick and mortar or online.

Thanks all for your reply. With this boat is our first boat, I was not looking forward to opening the elect panel. Thought a lot of wires would come jumping out . Not the case. I took the switches out and brought them to our marine store. The problem is the switches were stuck in the on position. They really need to be pushed hard to turn them on/off. But at least the hot water tank is not stuck in the ON position. Thanks again. Good to know if something else comes along there are other boaters that will lend a hand.

My C30 ('90 mk ll) has 3 "push to reset" AC breakers serving the water heater, recepticals & charger. The Seward website has replacement 30A "on off" breakers. I'd like to be able to shut the WH off also without shutting the entire AC system down.
