I've just recently completed a major electrical system upgrade - leaving me with a 9" x 5" hole in my teak panel at the navigation area. I removed the old radio and now need to fill the space. Does anyone out there know where it is possible to purchase the 1/8" thick, crinkled black aluminum plate used by Hunter to mount electric components on the panel? Already tried Radio Shack-no luck.

Panel Replacement

On my electrical upgrade project I have used a black ABS plastic for mounting new breakers, meters, monitors, etc. It has the "crinkled" finish and is .125 thick. It is also very easy to drill, cut, etc. Each panel I had made at a plastic supplier shop was about $5 with .250 radiused corners. It was the closest thing to the original panel that I could find.

Roger, i also upgraded my elect. panels and had good communications with the original manufacture of the elect. panels in my '93 40.5, unfortunately my notes are at my boat, but if you call Hunter (1-800-771-5556), mike in parts (ext.#3015) i'm sure he can give you the number. the company is based in Miami. good luck, take care Jim Vincent, Toucan
