Electrical Panel Photo

I have a 1990 27 ft model that has not been out in four years. I am working on making is seaworthy again, but am having problems with the electrical system. Only the running lights work.
The boat is an outboard model so it should be easy to fix. I cannot identify what each of the switches on the electrical panel are for. Can anyone send me a photo of a panel with labels on it? or a listing of what each switch/fuse is for?
Also, the battery is located under the companionway ladder. Is this the original location for the outboard models? I have the owners manual now, and it shows the battery in an aft compartment.

Thanks, That is good article and I found out more about the circuit naming convention by looking at replacement panels at the local Bass Pro Shop. Now i need time to get back to my boat (it is 2 hours away).
