Ours was worse. Sorry no pics, but it goes like this:
I bought the boat cheap and knew it had electrical issues. That's because when I said something to the seller after seeing wire nuts in the engine compartment he said "Don't worry about the electrical. My brother is an electrician and he does stuff right." Sure enough, the shore power was all wired with solid conductor house wiring with rusting metal outlet boxes. I didn't find a single power wire linger that about 12 inches without multiple splices. The splices were just wires twisted together some with electrical tape on them. Did I mention no circuit breakers or fuses even in the shore power. Also the shore power ground wasn't even connected.
Now all the primary power and ground wires are new with marine grade wire and circuit breakers
