electrical deck fittings

I just today (with a blizzard brewing on the east coast) got my boat back from the marina after having the entire cabin roof core replaced. A large part of the water damage was caused by worn out and leaking deck electrical fittings. Plus, I don't think that any P/O ever recaulked any fittings on the boat. I need some help locating a source for new fittings to replace the old. What I need to find is a fitting for the VHF antenna cable to come through the top and connect to the cable on the mast. The original system was the cable through a hole filled with caulk with the cable being cut and twisted together for use. Really professional. Is there a coaxial cable outlet that would allow the mast side of the cable to attach with a twist on fitting? Maybe one of the compression fittings would be better with a pigtail of cable extending from the top to link to the mast? Also, a source for the deck plug for the mast light. Finally, I have a masthead unit requiring a four wire plug. The wire itself is basically a phone line cable. I'm not sure what the technical names are for what is needed. The original mount holes are filled so I do not need to try to find exact replacements. Any help is greatly appreciated. The snow won't last forever and I want to be ready to go when the weather breaks. Thanks. -John

For the multi lead cable see West Marine catalog Page 648, Model No. 315618. Same area of catalog has two lead, thru deck, waterproof fitting for your mast light. For a mast antenna setup with a disconnect as you describe, get a standard antenna connector from any CB shop, Radio Shack etc. for a chassis mount. Mount this through a small bracket that fastens to the deck or the mast, your choice. Use silicon on the threads when connecting, then wrap with rigging tape to finish water proofing it. HOpe this helps.

I counted wrong. The masthead connection is a five wire cable. The original plug looked something like an old stereo microphone connection. Anyone know where I could find one. The unit is from Datamarine (DMI). I have an e-mail in to them and am hoping they can help. Thanks
