Hunter 340 Refrigeration and Electrical System Problems Batteries dead four times, very frustrating. Numerous issues that were masking each other. Goal to have refrigerator operational while at dock. Thought it would keep the cabin free of dampness, less power than a heater and cold beer all the time. However, I digress: Adler/Barbour refrigeration compressor had a design fault in electronic module, which prevented the compressor from properly starting. Diagnosis complicated by fact fan ran, but compressor didn’t. Adler/Barbour factory great, knew exactly what was wrong, but either they or Hunter should have done a recall. Adler sent a replacement electronic module which I installed last week. Freedom 10 inverter seems to be good quality, but I had to add a $115 Remote Panel to diagnosis system operation. This should be added by anyone who has this inverter. Also, Inverter manual schematic is not how it is wired on my boat. Panel switch (120 volt) must be on to power inverter/charger. Inverter manual states opposite.
