I just finished this project...
on my 1986 C36. I went with a Simpson Lawrence Sprint 900 (5/16" H/T chain and 9/16" rope). They don't make these units anymore but you can get the newer 1000. I mounted it on the deck just aft of thwe V-berth bulkhead so the chain falls into the lockers. I just finished installation this week so have yet to test it thoroughly, but it appears to be a clean and functional installation with plenty of power. I installed a Kingsprit by Land2c with double rollers to hold my 44lb. Bruce (will work for a 33lb also). Good luck! Trevor
