Well as the "new" boat continues to show signs of neglect, a new problem that has me baffeled has occurred. While sailing this past weekend the Barient Power winch gave up the ghost. I changed the solonoid that didn't help. I even removed the electric motor which checked out fine at the local shop. There is power to the switch but I am not sure that full power is coming into the motor itself. Tomorrow I plan to jumper the motor directly to see if something good happens. I have the book on the Vision but there is no diagram as to where the power cables are coming from. These are big ones, the kind that you hook directly to the battery. Any suggestion on what could be causing this problem? Any Vison owners had any of these problems? Anyone with an electric winch had a simular problem? As always, thanks in advance for your replies.
