Being a bit lazy here, but its worth it if someone knows. I have to replace/clean my rear quiet flush solenoid. Where is it? I have pulled a few panels to no avail. Trying to save myself some work......

If your toilet draws pressurized fresh water, the solenoid will be in the flush water inlet line...it's what opens and closes like a faucet to start and stop flush water flow. It should not require any maintenance.

If your toilet uses raw water (sea, lake, river) the solenoid valve will be in the top of the vented loop that's (supposed to be, anyway) in the flush water inlet line. It CAN become clogged with salt and sea water minerals and so can require cleaning or replacement.

You'll find the owners manual for the seawater version of your toilet here:
Jabsco Quiet Flush SW model owners manual
Suggest you check page 3.

On my 44DS, which is similar, the solenoid is outboard the head behind the panel. You really should check with Marlow/Hunter tho.

I talked with Marlow, they thought it would be behind the panel behind the head, it wasn't. I have pulled all the floor panels, no luck. I have yet to remove the floor panel in the vanity cabinet, seems to be glued. I am prepared to wreck it out as this is the spot marked on the schematics for the solenoid, then make a new floor panel.

I referred you to the wrong page in the manual...should have told you to check page *2* for a drawing showing the location of the solenoid. If the toilet is below the waterline, it can't go below the sole. There needs to be a vented loop in the intake line that's at least 6-8" above waterline AT ANY ANGLE OF HEEL, which on most sailboats would put it 2-3 feet above the bowl. The solenoid is installed in the loop. That would put it where Marlow thought it would be. If it's not, or somewhere else that puts it where it belongs, your toilet wasn't installed correctly.
You should find it if you trace the path of the intake line from the toilet.

However, there are TWO versions of the Jabsco Quiet Flush...you failed to mention which one you have. If yours is the pressurized fresh water version, it will use a different solenoid--not the siphon break that's needed with the remote intake pump, but one that acts like a faucet--it opens to allow fresh water to come into the bowl, closes to shut it off. It can be just about anywhere in the flush water supply line. Typically the flush water line is teed into the cold water line to the head sink. If it's in an inaccessible location now, you CAN replumb it to a location that is accessible. You'll find the manual for it here: Jabsco Quiet Flush FW ownes manual
If none of this helps, I suggest you talk with Jabsco...Call Paul Campagna 978-282-5246

I have an 07 H41DS. The aft head Jabsco Quite Flush water solenoid is under the sink behind the pump switchs.

Dakno I have a question for you,

Does your forward shower sump refill after pumping the water out? I'll pump the shower water out and a few minutes latter there will be a small puddle on shower /head floor?
It seems to me there should be a check valve to prevent this. The manual shows a shower sump holing tank but I don't think I have one in the forward shower/head. The best I can tell it goes directly to an overboard pump located under the pullman berth forward port side.

The “solenoid” (aka siphon break) on my ‘08 H41DS aft head was letting the bowl fill too. I watched the video about cleaning the rubber stopper part. Cleaned it twice to no avail. They want $50 for the electric part and &150 for the valve w/ the electric part. I had just given up on searching for just the rubber piece & it occurred to me! Bought a couple springs from the hardware store ($0.75 each). Replaced the one in the piston with one that I had to trim down and widen one end. So, you can fix this for $0.75!
