Thanks everybody for the info. I also contacted Raritan and they sent me the installation instructions for the electric head with pressurized fresh water. They do hook it up direcltly via the separation devices described above. Good discussion and I feel I have the necessary data. Thanks again all.

Tate 12v solenoid system is ultra reliable.
The reason that you want to use fw in your heads is that salt water really starts to stink when sitting stagnant in the bowl
You don't use much water to flush, (unless you're wasteful), so minimal impact on your fw tankage
