After recently sailing through a thunderstorm on my newly aquired O'day 25, a question popped into my head. Are these boats grounded at all? I know they have an encapsulated lead keel, so there is no metal 'chunk' except the centerboard which can be grounded to. Did O'day do anything about this, or is my boat just a giant lightning rod? Also, I'm going to be installing shore power service. It would be nice to be able to ground that system also. Thanks for knowledge/advice Ben Smith Also, can the mast be raised/lowered at dock?
