Electric fuel pump?

Doggone. I'm pretty sure I don't even have one. There's nothing on
the hand-hole cover on top of the tank and nothing I can see in line
with the filter upstream or down. It'd have to be in the keel en
route to the tank and I don't see any suspicious wires. I just have
a little cam driven diaphragm pump (on the side of the Volvo). I
think. So. . .er. . .is there another piece I need to know about?
Thanks, Ken Preston

In the cockpit of your Vega there should be a floor panel with screws all
around it. About 8 or so. You have to remove that panel to access the
Pump. If your engine is running ok you probably don't have to worry about
it.

Hi Ken

It wwas found by Albin that there was a possible problem with the manual lift pump on the volvo being able to lift fuel from the bilge fuel tank when nearly empty. It was decided to add an auxillary electric lift pump to help. The late Vegas had the tank in the port locker so did not need this extra pump as the fuel tank was almost at teh same height as the engine. Hope nthsi helps
