Electric drive

Has anyone converted their boat to an electric drive? Want to know some of the in and outs , problem with doing it.
Also how do you like it? Any problems?

Why not convert it to a steam engine and run it off water, and coal or wood? A good friend built a very nice steam powered boat and it works great. This is not the exact boat but is very similar.
