Electric conversion 40ast 2nd question speed ring

I have been considering two upgrades to the 40 ast secondaries on the cabin top of the 36.7. Can you tell me if it is feasible to: 1. convert 40 ast to electric without buying whole new winch and what kit is recommended? 2. Can I get the speed ring drums as a straight repacement of standard 40 ast drum? 3. Can I do both? Jay Hood

You can get an electric conversion kit made by Lewmar for your winches. They run somewhere about $1400- 1500 each. I have not been able to find any information regarding your question on the speed rings so my suggestion is to talk to Lewmar directly Good luck Charlie
