I'm having a lotof fun planning how to mount my windlass just forward of the jack-stay.. This model s.b. has a shallow rope-locker w. a hinged cover. part of which will be history. I wonder if anyone has gone through this exercise and would share their experience/knowledge with this harried old sailor??

I am presently working on installing my manual windlass in the anchor locker. But first I will increase the size substantially.
