Either bilge or freshwater switch turns on both pumps B323

This boat is new to me but I am pretty sure it didn't do this last year. If I turn on either the bilge pump switch or the freshwater pump switch at the panel, both lights illuminate and both pumps operate. I have looked everywhere I can to see if I have had an overheated connection melting wires together or something, but nothing looks amiss.
The two switches are above each other so a stray bare wire could be it but I can see nothing. Any ideas?

Found it. I went back over anything I might have done and found that when the shower sump switch is in the up position the two pumps run together but when it is down the pumps and switches work as expected. Trying to figure out if this is designed in????

The 2 pumps are wired in a box behind the seat next to the nav station. maybe someone had their mitts in there?
