Can I adjust the wheel further in or out, to clear my beer belly?

Does the shaft the wheel attach to allow for it to me set further in?

Not a lot of encouragement, eh? Have you tried installing the wheel backwards, front on the shaft first? My wheel has about a half inch or more extension behind that hub. Maybe you could gain that much.

Not sure. Mine has about 3" of clearance on the wheel shaft. I could probably machine the shaft down and gain a few inches. You could always turn the whole pedestal around and mount the wheel facing the cabin instead of the stern.

OK, thanks for the advice....yeah loose weight is the best option, has health benefits as well. Seems there is no adjustment for that.
