I have managed to break my throttle control handle. It was on an Edson pedestal model 335. Has anyone ever replaced this handle? If so, where is a source of the old plastic handles? Also, does anyone know if the new stainless steel handles will fit the model 335? There is a note on the Edson webpage about having to retap some older models before the handles will fit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Paul Jaudon S/V Second Star '85 C27 #5923

Re control levers

Funny you should ask ...I just replaced my little plastic controls with the stainless on saturday....they bolt right on but because they are longer you get a little less throw I measured the amount of travel required as listed in the manual for the Hurth box and I was fine Throttle was no isssue Paul

Control Levers

Thanks, Paul. I was worried that after spending the $$ it wouldn't fit.

I just did mine also, check the adjustment

Hello Paul, I just replaced the plastic handles on my 1987 C30 last week, I bought the new handles at West Marine, the new ones sure look a lot nicer. Be sure to check to see if you still have forward and reverse before you cast off the dock lines. The new handles were longer then my old ones, I didn't have forward until I adjusted the cable at the transmission. It doesn't take much adjustment. Check both directions before leaving the dock. Best of luck, Jack Bollinger "Hey Jude"
