Edson no longer sells top adaptor plate for 335/336 pedestal, only avail for 402/464 classic. I checked other sites could not locate one (new or used).
Do not need compass, (day sailing in ICW), so looking to cover pedestal top.
Suggestions for water tight pedestal top plate.

Thanks!

Perhaps cut some aluminum plate and paint it? Or have a fabrication shop cut one?

If you want it out of plastic, you could use a sheet of PVC and a heat gun, get someone to let you use theirs as a mold, and form the PVC sheet right over theirs, trim it, and glue it down.

Thanks,

Andrew

Aluminum is a soft metal. Suggest buying a piece and cutting out the shape is easy - use a coping saw or jig saw. Put the project in a vice or clamp it to a table edge then file the edge smooth with a file that has an appropriate cut. It’s not that hard.

Aluminum can be powder coated. Never did it myself but I’ve seen articles about doing it and they basically say it’s not that difficult. Would be a good first powder-coating project.

I just made shelf from 3/4 ..1 inch nominal....thick azek trim. Painted with rustoleum gloss white. It matches the rest of the pedistal perfectly. Also very easy to work with.
