HI All with and Eberspacher diesel heater.
In Ponteneur V3283 when built was fitted in the aft port locker mounted on the inside of the transom, an Eierspacher D1LC heater. A previous owner removed the heater but left in place the diesel fuel feed pipe, wiring looms, hot air run pipes and transom skin fitting for the exhaust. The air intake for the heating air is take in via a mushroom on the aft deck.
My question: In the installation manual it states that the exhaust pipe length and the Combustion Air Intake pipe should be the same length. Should the combustion air intake just be left open ended in the stern locker or does it require another skin fitting in the transom or perhaps another arrangement?
Does anyone know how the setup should be achieved please?
