The limited amount of teak on my 35.5 had gotten no attention in several years and as a result had turned a really dirty grey. This spring when cleaning the boat with a powerwasher I washed it (being careful not to get the nozzle too close to the wood). It cleaned up so well I decided I liked it looking good so started to investigate teak finishes. Friend in the next boat suggested Teak Guard. I used it and am now a big fan. Easy to apply, just spray the teak with a cleaner they supply, wash it off with water, let dry and apply with a paint brush. It's water soluble so you don't have to be too worried about getting it on the fiberglass (just wipe it off with a wet rag), and it dries to a nice honeygold color. Reapply once a year or as needed according to the manufacturer.
